For over a decade, our dedication to employee volunteering has been at the heart of our overarching mission of fostering positive change within communities.
In a recent collaboration with the Global Rainbow Foundation (GRF), Absa Mauritius organised a blind trekking at Petrin Nature Park, bringing together more than 10 visually impaired people, including three of our Absa Mauritius employees. Our objective was to create an immersive and inclusive experience for all our participants.
This collaboration reinforces the exceptional, long-term relationship between GRF and Absa Mauritius, and is in line with Absa's vision: Empowering Africa's tomorrow, together... one story at a time. Julian Tarbox, Project Manager at the Global Rainbow Foundation, shared: "We are delighted to see Absa Mauritius’ involvement in activities supporting people with disabilities. When companies make a genuine commitment, we see that barriers that divide us start to disappear."
" Being a force for good in everything that we do is part of our DNA. At Absa Mauritius, we believe in creating a culture that values and respects the needs of people with disabilities. Through our Employee Volunteering Programme, we aim to create equal opportunities for all.", adds Cedrine Chimon Rampal, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at Absa Mauritius.
This initiative is part of our commitment to corporate social responsibility and highlights the crucial importance of community involvement, celebrating diversity and promoting inclusion. We look forward to continuing to be a catalyst for positive change, leaving a warm and lasting imprint on the hearts of the communities we serve.
