Pioneering digital onboarding solutions
Over the past few years, Absa has embarked on a transformative journey, launching groundbreaking initiatives. Absa’s focus has been on creating a seamless digital onboarding experience for Retail and SME segments by integrating cutting-edge technologies. The bank launched several industry-first initiatives in 2023 such as the Absa Digi account that allows customers to open bank accounts 100% digitally, anytime and anywhere, through a state-of-the-art digital identity verification process. They then distinguished themself as the sole bank in Mauritius to integrate with the Corporate and Business Registration Department (CBRD), facilitating swift and hassle-free account opening for the business customers. Later in the year 2023, Absa Mauritius unveiled the Absa Digi Loan, a pioneering offering in Mauritius that provides customers with a quick and convenient method to apply for an unsecured loan with instant credit decisioning upon completion of the application at competitive interest rates starting as from 7.25%.
